8171 Ehsaas programme is a social network protection programme. It is a social security and poverty alleviation programme. Ehsaas Programme is another name for Benazir Income Support Programme. Ehsaas Programme started in 2008 during Bhutto era. The objective of this programme is to reduce the disparity in the development of the backward classes and to provide financial assistance to poor and deserving families. Deserving and poor people were included in Ehsaas programme through the NSER survey in 2011.

How to Register in Ehsaas Programme?
If you belong to the poor deserving family and want to join Ehsaas programme. Note that registration is required before joining this program.
The registration procedure is as follows:
- Visit the nearest Benazir office with your national identity card
- Your NSER registration will be done in Benazir’s office
- The NSER representative at Benazir’s office will provide you with a form to fill
- After filling the form you have to submit it again in the office
- After that you will be checked
- And after a few days, a message will be the subject of a message on your mobile number
- That you have joined the program and are eligible for the program

Eligibility Criteria
Ehsaas program is not designed for all people of Pakistan. Rather it is for those who belong to poor and deserving families. Therefore, the Ehsaas program also has eligibility criteria.

- Widows are also eligible for this program
- Families whose monthly income is less than 30 thousand rupees are also eligible for this program
- Families with a poverty score of less than 30
- Families who have no government employees

- Disabled and senior citizens above 60 years of age are also eligible for this program
