Benazir Program 8171 was started in 2008 during Bhutto’s tenure. The objective of this program is to eradicate poverty. It is a socio-economic and welfare program. The main objective of this program is to provide financial assistance to the weak and poor sections. The Benazir program specifically aims to empower women. Under this program, financial assistance of 9000 rupees is given to all the poor and deserving women of Pakistan every three months.
Apart from this, a free ration of 45 rupees is given to the poor and deserving people under the Ehsaas Ration Program by the Government of Pakistan. And the Benazir program has many more programs.
