Asia Cup Schedule 2023
In this article, you are given the Asia Cup 2023 Schedule that is jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament will be held from August 30 to September 18. For the Asia Cup, the opening match of Asia Cup 2023 in Multan will be contested between Pakistan and Nepal. The 50-over tournament will divide six teams into two groups of three each. Group A has Pakistan, India, and Nepal while in Group B, there are Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
Note that this tournament will follow a hybrid model. In which Pakistan will host four matches at two places and Sri Lanka will host the remaining matches. Apart from this, there is going to be a spectacular clash between Pakistan and India on September 2 in Kandy.
Asia Cup 2023 Venue
There is a lot of talk about the new release of the Asia Cup. It is being said that Pakistan should be the first in this competition. Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had said that India will not take steps against Pakistan due to political pressure between the two countries. This is why there are risks to planning this opportunity.
PCB chief Najam Sethi has proposed a cross-breed model. Where India will play its matches in a non-biased environment like UAE. And the remaining matches of the Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan. At times it seems that this suggestion has been rejected. Because it’s not too hot to play windy in the Gulf in September and the heat conditions are also bad.
